LOTRO installed from the DVD just fine. As I have one of the original copies, i DID have to wait for nearly 14,000 updates to download & install – but I would have had to do that under XP or Vista too.
ImgBurn 18.104.22.168 installed without any problems in Windows 7 – I had issues with the built-in Windows 7 ISO burner, but ImgBurn works perfectly as always! 🙂
DVD Shrink 3.2 installed without any additional steps. Backing up a DVD works fine in Windows 7.
Assassin’s Creed installed as normal from the DVD. No additional steps were required.
ACDSee Pro 2.5 installed as normal from the installer in Windows 7. No additional steps were needed 🙂
A lot of people have asked me how easy Windows 7 is to install and if it’s any good. This post shows the installation process step-by-step. I’ll write a seperate post on how I feel about Windows 7 and each application that i’ve tried and how to get it working.
Although it seems like a lot of steps, most of them dont involve any user interaction. I’ve included them just to help you understand the steps Windows goes through to install.
On my laptop, the entire process took maybe 20 minutes.
Ok, so I finally added a blog where I can mumble about various technical hints & tips now and then. People have long since told me I should publish all the little hints & tips I come up with.
Here you can find everything from tips to programming examples and code, and maybe even some rambling now and then if something annoys me 😉
Thanks for looking,
